Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2015

Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Sunday, October 11, 2015

When you Run For Those Who Roll, you will be running to help the SCIA provide services for people who can no longer walk because they have been paralyzed by accidents and medical conditions. Whether cause by a motor vehicle crash, fall, violence, or a medical condition, instantaneous paralysis changes everything. The SCIA exists to help people through the overwhelming initial stage and throughout life as new issues surface. Your run will be helping to find the care, products, and services needed to live in this new world of SCI through an Information and Referral Service. You will be helping connect newly injured persons with others who have made the journey ahead of them through a peer support network. You will be helping individuals who are paralyzed, family members and health professionals stay up to date on SCI care through seminars, lectures, and newsletters. Your run may prevent a teen from being paralyzed because he listened to our injury prevention message during his physical education class. Running the marathon can be even more meaningful for you if you run for those who can no longer even walk.
